First Heaven and Hell screening in 2010


‘Absorbed’ and ‘Animation 1’ have been accepted to the EgoFest Film Festival in Brainerd MN.  Both films will screen on February 20 at the Franklin Arts Center.   It is sure to be a great party and a good start to the new year.

Unplanned ‘Working Title’ hiatus ending soon


Heaven and Hell was hit hard by the bad economy, and regrettably ‘Working Title’ production had to be put on hold.  Production will be resuming soon with an even smaller budget.  Stay up to date with a series of new blog posts starting this week.

Digifestival V begins with online premiere of ‘Light’


After a few technical difficulties, Digifestival V is now up with 'Light' and 'Light on the Creek' in the Videoart category .  ‘Light’ has never been broadcast online and may not be again, so take the opportunity to see the full film on the festival site until September 15.  Watch and vote for your favorite shorts.

Help produce ‘Working Title’


The new film is in pre-production and will shoot this summer.  ‘Working Title’ is Bishop's most involved project thus far, and the call goes out to fans, supporters, and colleagues to help fund the film through sponsorship.  Check out the new ‘Working Title’ page, and read about the sponsorship financing model on the blogspot.

‘Light’ to compete in DigiFestival V


‘Light’ has been chosen to screen as part of the online competition DigiFestival V.  Starting August 15 you can go to the site and vote for your favorite short film in each category.  The winning films will secure international digital distribution and screen live in Florence, Italy.  Read the blog here.

‘Animation 1’ to open Abstracta


‘Animation 1’ will have the great honor of screening in Rome Italy at Abstracta International Exhibition of Abstract Cinema.  The 33-second art piece will open the three-day event on August 25, 2009 on beautiful Tiber Island.  Check out the details at the blogspot.

‘Working Title’ going into production Summer 2009


Heaven and Hell’s new film ‘Working Title’ will be a no-budget, experimental narrative, a personal story of a woman’s search for happiness and life purpose.  The film will be shot in Chapel Hill and Durham NC in the southern United States.  Check back here for a new ‘Working Title’ page coming soon.

Two shorts screening in Romania


‘Animation 1’ and ‘Light on the Creek’ will screen at an open experimental film festival in Romania on November 26 and 27.  FIFE Carbunari is held yearly by the Florean Museum, a privately owned modern art space.  It is a unique opportunity to have work seen in Eastern Europe, and we wish the event director a great turnout.

‘Light’ to screen at Arkansas Underground


'Light' has been selected for the Arkansas Underground Film Festival in Hot Springs.  The short will be shown as a looped installation at the opening night reception on July 17.  ARKUFF specializes in experimental and pop culture art films by new artists as well as retrospectives by such as Andy Warhol, Yoko Ono, and Luis Bunuel.  Read the full story...
